Victorian Bathroom - Sea Themed

This is a Victorian-era bathroom whose affluent owner has a love for the sea. I plan to fill the fish tank eventually... and strew some more knick-knacks around. My biggest modeling challenges in this room were the seahorse legs and the schooling fish columns. But I enjoyed the challenge of solving those modeling puzzles.

The seahorse legs are based off of ones that I saw in a Victorian era catalog. The idea of them was too perfect for this space. I had to try several things before I figured out how to get the rides and all of the curves the way I needed -- all while keeping nice edge flow. The fish swimming up the columns was inspired by a school of fish moving in harmony that I saw in a documentary video while I was making this project. I thought their movements were graceful and interesting.
